Do box mods include batteries in the package?

Most external battery mods do not include batteries in the manufacturer box unless specified as a special bundle. High-drain 18650 batteries can be purchased from our Batteries & Accessories section.

What liquid should I use with a box mod?

Always use Freebase e-liquids in 3mg or 6mg (60ml, 100ml, or 120ml bottles) with a 70/30 VG/PG ratio. Never use high-strength nic salts in high-wattage mod tanks.

How do I know what wattage to set on my mod?

Check the side or base of your installed replacement coil. Manufacturers clearly engrave the optimal wattage range (for example: "0.2Ω 40W–60W"). Always start at the lower end and increase gradually.

Dual-Battery Mods vs Integrated Battery Pod Mods

Consider your preferred balance between power and portability:

External Dual-18650 Box Mods: VOOPOO Drag 4, Geekvape Aegis Legend L200, and SMOK X-Priv provide up to 200W of power. Easily swap fresh batteries anytime without waiting for a recharge.
All-in-One Sub-Ohm Pod Mods: Vaporesso Luxe XR Max and Voopoo Argus Pro combine sub-ohm coil power with high-capacity built-in batteries in an ergonomic, pocketable format.

Essential Battery Safety for Mod Users

Always use authentic high-drain 18650/21700 lithium batteries from reputable manufacturers (e.g. Sony/Murata, Samsung, Molicel). Never carry loose batteries in your pocket or bag where metal keys or coins could cause a short circuit. We strongly recommend charging external batteries with dedicated standalone smart chargers.
